Veterinary Referral

Before your appointment, Dobbins Veterinary Physiotherapy is required to obtain a referral from your vet as stated under the Veterinary Surgeons Exemption Order (2015). Additionally, the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) states that animals should only be treated by persons qualified to do so. In some cases, physiotherapy may be unsuitable for certain conditions or medications, a veterinary referral form helps to determine this. With this in mind, it is imperative that veterinary referral forms be completed prior to any initial assessments taking place. When booking a consultation, you will be prompted for your veterinary surgeons details so that they can be contacted on your behalf. By working closely with your vet, Dobbins Veterinary Physiotherapy can ensure the best possible treatment is provided to your animal.
